GAFAIG Certification Enforcement Boundary
This statement defines the scope and limits of GAFAIG’s certification authority. It clarifies what GAFAIG certification does — and does not — represent, and establishes boundaries to prevent misuse, overreach, or misinterpretation.
GAFAIG is not a regulator, governmental authority, or judicial body. GAFAIG certification does not constitute legal compliance, regulatory approval, endorsement, warranty, or guarantee of system performance.
Scope of Authority
GAFAIG’s authority is limited to the administration of its published standards, certification procedures, and public registry. Certification reflects conformance with GAFAIG standards at the time of assessment, based on representations and evidence provided by the applicant.
What GAFAIG Does Not Do
- GAFAIG does not certify legal compliance with any jurisdiction.
- GAFAIG does not audit source code unless explicitly stated.
- GAFAIG does not guarantee absence of harm, bias, or failure.
- GAFAIG does not replace regulatory oversight, courts, or contractual obligations.
Use of Certification Status
Certified entities may reference GAFAIG certification only in accordance with the GAFAIG Compliance Mark & Logo Usage Rules. Misrepresentation or misuse may result in suspension or revocation of certification status.
